Upfront is a locally owned and operated pest control provider. We wake up each morning with a goal of making high quality pest control services easier and more affordable.

We were founded by Josh Howard, a lifelong Kansas Citian. After growing up in Lee’s Summit, Josh attended William Jewell College, where he played soccer. He served as a high school teacher and coach for more than 10 years prior to getting bitten by the entrepreneurial bug (see what we did there?). Frustrated by poor experiences with the high-cost pest control providers serving his own home and seeing an opportunity to deliver a meaningfully better solution, he launched Upfront. Josh is the proud father of three young girls and a doting husband to his wife, Ashley.  He spends what little free time he has coaching his daughters’ soccer teams (go Pink Lightning!) and supporting the Chiefs.
